Sweater Weather

(via jak&jil blog)
Despite the fact that yesterday was our first day of Summer, it managed to rain almost throughout the entire day. The average temperature was about 20 degrees celsius (68 degrees Fahrenheit). To put that into perspective, our Summer is usually around 32-37 degrees celsius (90-100 degrees Fahrenheit) . It has rained every day for the past four days and wait for it... It's forecast to rain every single day up until the day after Christmas. This is not typical Sydney weather, this is global warming "I'm-killing-all-of-your-sunshine-and-warmth-and-joy" type of weather. Well I'm off to go and rug myself up in a nice warm sweater or coat.

All For Everyone

All For Everyone by Annie Larson is available online here. At the moment, I'm finding myself to be really in love with knitted apparel. My ideal jumper would be a chunkier and messier look than the ones above, but I still love how clean cut and colourful Annie's items are. If Summer wasn't beginning tomorrow in Australia (SO EXCITED FOR IT THAT I FEEL LIKE I NEED TO USE CAPITALS), I'd certainly be looking into getting that peach knit. Maybe it'll still be there next winter?

The Statement Wedge

(via anywho)
These Patouf S/S11 wedges have me drooling all over my macbook right now. I love the "hidden" wedge (although it is slightly obvious it's there, you still catch my drift, right?) as well as the bright, orange/tan colour. I'll definitely be adding these straight onto my Christmas/Birthday wish list (yes, I'm born near Christmas, sucks to be me) along with all the other unachievable items I'm lusting after.

Wildfox

I wouldn't mind spending my christmas break over in California and I also wouldn't mind receiving some pieces from Wildfox for Christmas. I think it's safe to say that both of those are currently out of the question sadly. For now I'm content with just lusting over the collection (and the location), but only for now..

Anja Rubik

(via streetfsn)
I will gladly have that dress, that bag and those shoes, please? I wouldn't even be able to begin imagining how much money went into that outfit but all that I can say is that it certainly paid off. Oh, that was unintentionally cheesey, I apologise for that one. Seriously though, Anja has managed a classy and yet somehow casual look, so my hat is off to her.

Navajo

I've fallen head over heels madly in love with this dress. I was just online shopping (a usual activity of mine) when I stumbled across this stunning item that caused me to forget how to breathe for a while. What appealed to me wasn't really the cut-out back (an added bonus I must admit, though), but instead the pattern of the material and the shape of the dress itself.

The difficult part is now choosing which colour - the black or the olive? In all honesty, I would take either colour, but I do lean more toward the olive (considering my skin tone is fairly pale, i.e I'm pasty as). This dress is going straight onto my Christmas wish list.

MINKPINK

MINKPINK Summer 2011 video. I love how relaxing this film is, it's so beautifully shot. If you're in the Southern Hemisphere, currently enjoying the warm weather, then maybe go and grab yourself an iced tea to watch this one. However, if you're slowly moving into those colder months, wrap your hands around a searing hot chocolate (or cocoa) and start lusting after Summer again.

Twenty-Seven Names

The Summer 2010/2011 collection straight out of New Zealand. The Bikini Kill Bodysuit (pictured first) has been an item I've tried to track down for a while, after seeing the lookbook for D_Luxe. If anyone does find a seemingly affordable knitted top/shirt/singlet/tank/whatever you wish to call it, please let me know! I'll do another post tomorrow on an interesting take I found a knitted top, so keep your eyes peeled.

Light

(via nikoline)
I just felt like posting something a little different to usual. I've been inspired by the warmth of our current weather in Sydney and so I felt like celebrating the seasons and the light just a little bit.
